FAQ

What if the weather is bad?

As a (primarily) natural light photographer, weather can cause issues with scheduled sessions. I keep a certain amount of days open each month on the calendar for exactly this reason and will work with you to reschedule the session for one of those days.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

Maybe. But it will depend on multiple factors including weather, other scheduled shoots, as well as, other outside commitments that I may already have. In general, extending a session on the day of is not something I can guarantee.

How long will it take to receive my images?

I spend a lot of time perfecting each image and strive to produce a consistent, quality, product for each of my clients. Generally speaking, you should anticipate receiving access to the online gallery of edited images about three weeks after the shoot.

Do I have to order prints through you?

No. You do not have to order prints through me. However, I would recommend it due to the higher quality of the printed images that come from the professional lab that I use. There is a marked difference in quality between prints from professional labs versus consumer labs. With that said, it is possible to purchase unmarked, high-resolution, digital files from me that would be suitably sized for printing at any consumer lab. Contact me for more details!

Do you offer other Print Products?

I sure do! All prints are produced on high quality lustre paper with a linen texture by a professional lab. Contact me for more details!

What are "watermarked social media" files?

These are low resolution digital image files that are optimized for sharing on social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook. Each image will have a watermark of the BJD Photography logo.

Can I purchase High Resolution digital files?

Yep! I offer my clients the opportunity to purchase High Resolution digital image files of any or all of the final, edited, images from their session(s). Contact me for pricing!

Do you sell wall art?

Of course! One of my biggest goals is that you have such a connection with at least one image from your session that you want it beautifully displayed in your home, office or other life space! Contact me for more details!

Do you travel?

Yes! I love to travel! If you are outside of the Abilene area, please contact me so we can discuss details!

What kind of gear do you use?

I'm a Canon girl. My current gear includes a Canon 5D Mk III and Mk IV camera bodies and multiple Canon lenses. My go-to lenses for equine photography include the 70-200mm and 85mm lenses.
